Today we played a game call" Building your Pyramid". In this game, you are in charge of building pyramid for King. You have to make decision for every step. For example: material, food for workers, location, the proportion of different workers, angle of your Pyramid, etc. This is a pretty challenge game because one wrong decision can mess up the whole project. My first try and second try are all failed. Fortunately, I successfully build the pyramid in the third time. I'm so proud for myself!

Today we studied a chapter about the ancient Egypt. Egyptian's life is centered around the would's longest river, The Nile river. One of the unique thing about this river is it is flow from south to north instead of north to south. Egyptians use water from Nile for drinking, irrigating, bathing and transportation. Nile river flood every year on July and leave behind rich soil on October. In the Egypt,
there is a huge statue called" The great Sphinx of Giza". This is a statue with a lion head and human's body. It is build on 2555-2532BC, more than 4000 years ago. It is the oldest monumental statue in the world. Egypt have a hirachy social form. The slaves at the bottom of pyramid serve rich people with household and child raising duties.
