Egyptian Astronomy - Astronomy helped Egyptians to record the time of year for agricultural periods, and may well served a navigational purpose, a common practice in the desert. These observations became imbued with religious significance and became incorporated into their architecture

Hieroglyph - Hieroglyphic writing was in use from about 3200 BC until the lath 4th century AD and changed very little during this period and is very well preserved.

Papyrus - The ancient Egyptians used papyrus to make paper. baskets, sandals, mats, rope, blankets tables, chairs, medicine and clothes. Papyrus was an important "gift of the Nile".

Medicines - The ancient Egyptians had a wide variety of medicines and cures. Many of their medicines were accompanied by spells to ward off the evil spirit making the person sick.

Shipbuilding - With the Nile River playing a major role in the live of the Egyptians, building ships was a big part of their technology. They originally built small boats form papyrus reed, but later began to build large ships form cedar wood imported from Lebanon
