Today, we went over the ppt about the conflict between French and British.

N O T E

Alley - Friend country
Cede - to surrender

Mid 1700 - British settle Ohio River Valley, which is the west of the Appalachian Mountain
First - Native American
French - Trading partner (Animal hide, settlement in Quebec)

French - Need British to limit their settlement - only along Atlantic

  • Control trade pathway
  • Settling up post
  • Trade with Native
But - French only have 65,000 people while British have 1,000,000!!!!!

The French and Indian War - British Win 

French - Surprise attack, hiding, camouflage
British - Marching, wearing red coat
