Notes - English Settler

Today Mr. Schick switch our seats. I was not excited at all since he moves me to the left seat of my original seat. Later we took notes about English settler and watched a ten minute long video about the relationship between native indians and settler. The video is too long for me to keep full attention though.

Below are notes taken today

• 10 years after Spain - English bean to settle North America
• They formed Joint-stock companies for sharing profit and risk
• Jamestown - First English Settlement - Name after King James
• Problems they encountered are: Swamp land, unable to grow crops, Not much fresh water, settler dying from hunger and disease. 
• James Smith asked for assistance from Native Indians
• The relationship between the settler and the natives start deteriorating after James Smith left.
