Today we talked about the Pilgrim and the Puritan. Mr. Schick assigned us a project about the difference of these two groups of people. Below are notes taken today
- Pilgrim - a group who separated from the Church of England
- They travel for pursuing their belief
- The name of their ship is "Mayflower"
- The troubles that Pilgrim encountered are: Lacking food supply, cold weather, illness among the settlers.
- They received assistance from Native indian tribe Wampanoag
- Puritans - Come after Pilgrim
- They come to New England for religious freedom in 1628
- They want to make the Church of England more pure
- In 1630, they set up the Massachusetts Bay Colony and settled around the Boston.
